Correct Identification
of your Unit
Correct
identification of your Transmission and/or Converter is critical. Gear
Ratios, Speeds, Torque Curves are all matched precisely to your Machine
& Engine, a miss-match in any of these areas would result in poor performance
of your machine. The following guide will help you to correctly identify
your unit.
Critical Information
Allison
Transmissions & Converters
Model and
Part Number (i.e. CLBT6061, P/No 23019914 or TCDOA475, 6880983)
Allison
units also carry a serial number but this does not help identify the unit
when using the Allison parts literature.
Clark
Transmissions & Converters
Model Number
(i.e. 13.7HR28334-7 or C273.5-14)
Clark units
also carry a Serial Number but this does always help to identify the unit.
Clark produce a separate a parts list for each model so the model number
is crucial.
ZF
Transmissions
Model &
Specification Number (i.e. 6WG260, 4646 056 003)
All ZF units
are stamped with a Serial Number. This is normally stamped into the top
of the Main Housing and can be used to identify the unit when the identification
plate is missing or has been removed.
Twin
Transmissions & Clutches
Model &
Specification or BOM number (i.e. TD-44-1132, Spec 63176 or 8FLWB1701,
Spec 65469)
Dependent
on where the unit was built (US or Belgium) Twin Disc units have a Specification
number or a BOM (Bill of Materials) Number on the identification plate.
